Since 2015, Lina has been at the forefront of developing the Malaysian Documentary Association (MyDocs) and is one of the founding members. MyDocs is a non-profit organisation committed to creating a larger, more knowledgeable and more professional network of skilled documentary filmmakers in Malaysia. 

 

We believe that through creating a united network of likeminded professionals we will be able to collectively improve the state of the documentary filmmaking industry in Malaysia.

 

In her role as Executive Director, Lina responsible for creating strong partnerships with likeminded individuals, government & non government organisations and companies throughout the world to collectively improve the state of the documentary filmmaking industry in Malaysia.

 

To achieve this, she works closely with local, regional and International partners to organise workshops, film screenings, masterclasses, panel discussions, networking events, pitching sessions and help create new opportunities for local filmmakers to find film funding both locally and internationally.

 

Moving forward she hopes MyDocs will continue to be a voice for the local documentary industry around the world to further develop what we believe to be a thriving and growing documentary scene.
